US broker wants an MID: which pieces build the manufacturer identification code
Build fifteen characters from plant name and address. A store ID will not fill this. Opening the store does not build it.
China export statutory inspection: is this booking on the catalogue, and who files in Single Window
Match the current catalogue. The consignor or agent files. Opening the store does not inspect.
China Customs advance ruling: who applies before the goods move, and how long the decision lasts
A recorded trader applies. The decision lasts three years. An oral HS code is not a decision.
Wood and plant goods into the US: who files the Lacey Act declaration, and which fields
Only the importer or their agent files. Hand over scientific names and harvest country. Opening the store does not file.
China Customs AEO: who applies, which window, what the certificate actually covers
A registered firm applies against Announcement 106. Opening the store is not certification. A receipt is not a certificate.
Goods entering the US: which fields 19 CFR 141.86 requires on the commercial invoice
Write the legal seller and an English description. A pro forma will not fill this box. Opening the store does not issue the invoice.
Japan ocean boxes: who files the AFR master and house, 24 hours before departure
The shipping company files the master; the NVOCC files the house. The clock faces departure. Opening the store does not file.
Food into the US: who files FDA Prior Notice, and which portal, before arrival
Anyone with the facts may file. Vessel: 8 hours before arrival. A registration number is not a confirmation number.
The buyer wants a phytosanitary certificate: who applies this week, whose name is on it
Ask the destination NPPO first. Opening the store does not issue one. A pallet mark is another errand.
The box will not load without VGM: who weighs, who signs, which cutoff
Name the B/L shipper, then Method 1 or 2. The VGM cutoff is not the SI cutoff. Opening the store does not weigh the box.
US ocean cargo: who files the ISF, and which ten elements, 24 hours before loading
Name the ISF Importer first. Eight of ten are due 24 hours before loading. Opening the store does not file.
Goods entering the EU: who lodges the ICS2 ENS, and what it must contain
Ask the carrier: single or multiple filing. A store does not issue an EORI. Do not lock a spoken hour-count.
The Taiwan RFQ says BSMI: match the registration number this week before you quote
Match the in-scope class and the portal number before you quote. CE and FCC stay homework. Opening the store does not register with BSMI.
The Mexican order wants NOM: what the quote may say, what the contract must not lock
Match the NOM on SINEC first. Quotes may name the path; contracts must not lock “certified.” Opening the store does not make you the importer.
The Brazilian order wants INMETRO: check the regulated list, then decide who files registro
Look up the Portaria first. Registro often sits with the Brazilian importer. CE and UL will not match the public register.
The EAEU buyer wants EAC: name the Union applicant, then match the unified register
Name the Union applicant first. Legal effect sits on the unified register, not a colour scan.
The Gulf appliance needs the G mark: schedule low-voltage assessment and Saudi SABER as two tracks
Low-voltage goes to a notified body. Saudi shipments still need SABER. The two tracks do not stand in for each other.
The Korean buyer wants KC: CE and FCC will not fill the Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act
Safety certification, confirmation, or SDoC. CE and FCC will not fill that box. Opening the store does not issue KC.
The Australian buyer wants RCM: CE will not fill EESS responsible-supplier registration
The responsible supplier registers. A certificate alone does not authorise sale. CE is not RCM.
The buyer wants OEKO-TEX: CE and REACH will not fill STANDARD 100
Private institute mark, one year, Label Check. CE and REACH will not fill that box.
The Indian buyer wants BIS / CRS: CE and UL will not fill compulsory registration
Scheme II, recognised lab, AIR if no India office. CE / UL / FCC do not substitute.
The German buyer wants LFGB: FDA and CE will not fill food-contact materials
No German bureau LFGB paper. A migration report is evidence, not a bureau certificate. FDA and CE will not fill that box.
The EU buyer wants EUDR / a deforestation-free paper: FSC and a CO will not fill that box
No central body issues a deforestation-free paper. The operator submits a due-diligence statement. FSC will not fill that box. Opening the store does not file it.
The US buyer wants CARB / TSCA Title VI: Prop 65 and CE will not fill composite-wood formaldehyde
Imports after March 2019 need Title VI certification and labels. Prop 65 is a warning. Opening the store does not issue the label.
The Japanese buyer wants PSE: a CE file and FCC will not fill the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act
Specified items take the diamond mark after a registered body. CE will not fill that box. Opening the store does not issue the mark.
The buyer wants a Halal certificate: SABER and FDA will not fill that box
The body they name certifies this site and this recipe. SABER is product safety. Opening the store does not issue Halal.
The buyer wants ISO 9001: a CE file and Verified will not fill a quality-management system
ISO 9001 covers the system and the sites, not the product. Verified will not fill that box. Opening the store does not issue it.
The EU buyer wants RoHS: a CE file and a REACH report will not fill that box
No central body issues RoHS. The manufacturer runs internal production control, keeps a technical file and writes the substances into the declaration. Opening the store does not issue RoHS.
The buyer wants BSCI / SMETA: Verified and Trade Assurance will not fill that box
BSCI sits on amfori. SMETA sits on Sedex. Neither is a government paper or Verified. Opening the store does not send an auditor.
The forwarder wants ISPM 15 / an IPPC mark: a CO and a B/L will not fill the wood box
The mark sits on the pallet or crate, applied by an authorised facility. A CO will not fill that box. Opening the store does not issue a mark.
The US buyer wants CPSIA / a CPC: an FDA file and a CE mark will not fill children’s products
CPSC does not issue a CPC. The US importer issues it from third-party tests at an accepted lab. Opening the store does not issue the certificate.
The Saudi buyer wants SABER / a PCoC: a CE file and a CO will not fill that box
SABER takes a PCoC and a per-shipment SCoC on the Saudi importer side. CE will not fill that box. Opening the store does not issue SABER.
The EU buyer wants a CE certificate: there is no central paper you can buy
No central body issues CE. The manufacturer signs the DoC and keeps the technical file. A notified body is only for higher-risk goods. Opening the store does not issue CE.
The buyer wants a letter of credit: a soft clause is not Trade Assurance
An LC is a bank’s conditional payment. Soft clauses pin payment on the applicant’s own papers. Trade Assurance will not cover a discrepancy. Opening the store does not examine the credit.
Trade Assurance quota is short: membership is not quota
Quota is the order protection cap, read in quota management. Membership and Verified do not add a slice. There is no official US-dollar figure. A private “quota deposit” stops first.
The US buyer wants UL: CE is not a US workplace mark
UL is one OSHA NRTL. Listed is the end product; Recognized is a component. CE will not fill this box. Opening the store does not issue UL.
Who pays for the mould, and who owns it: it is not a Trade Assurance deposit
Paying is not owning. Tooling, a deposit, a sample and the Trade Assurance order are four payments. There is no official 30%. Private accounts stop first.
The UK buyer wants UKCA: a valid CE mark is enough for most Great Britain goods
GOV.UK still recognises CE under 21 product regulations. Northern Ireland needs CE. Medical devices and construction sit on other pages. Opening the store does not issue UKCA.
The US buyer wants an FDA certificate: food and cosmetics usually have no such paper
FDA does not issue a registration certificate. Food needs a US agent. Device registration is not approval. Opening the store does not register you.
P4P is on and there are still no inquiries: membership is not traffic
P4P is pay-per-click. Membership buys showcases. Do not top up an empty bay. A forwarded prepay is not an official fee.
The German buyer wants a WEEE / EAR number: LUCID and a CE file will not fill the electrical-recycling box
stiftung ear issues the electrical number. LUCID, CE and a Responsible Person will not fill that box. Without a German establishment you appoint a representative. Opening the store does not issue the number.
The UK buyer wants a packaging EPR registration: LUCID and a GB EORI will not fill that box
A UK-established producer reports packaging weight. A German number and a tax number will not fill that box. Fees follow the regulator that day.
The US buyer wants FCC: a CE file and a Trade Assurance order will not write that sentence
Certification issues an FCC ID. SDoC does not, and the responsible party must be in the United States. CE and Trade Assurance are not equipment authorisation.
The French buyer wants Triman / CITEO: a LUCID number and a Responsible Person address will not do
The box wants an ADEME IDU and, where it applies, Triman. A German number, a Responsible Person and a VAT will not fill it. Opening the store does not issue a French number. Recycling fees sit in the eco-organisation contract.
The US buyer wants a Prop 65 warning: a CE file and a Trade Assurance order will not write that sentence
OEHHA does not sell a certificate. Warn on the product, or send notice and materials downstream and keep the acknowledgement. Do not write “no warning, nationwide.”
The US buyer says a Hong Kong dispatch means no antidumping: ADD/CVD follows origin, not the invoice
Commerce writes the order. CBP collects the deposit. A new letterhead does not lift a China order. A cash deposit is not the final duty. Do not lock a chat percentage into the unit price.
The backend wants a German eco fee: LUCID is not a Responsible Person, and not a VAT
The box wants packaging law: a LUCID number, and where needed a dual-system contract. A Responsible Person, a VAT and a CE file will not fill it. Registration is free. A representative cannot register for you.
The UK buyer wants DDP, then a VAT and an EORI: opening the store does not make you the importer
The store does not issue a GB EORI. DDP says who pays. The entry still names someone. A forwarder does not take HMRC. An EU number will not clear Great Britain.
The buyer wants OA / Net 30: Trade Assurance is not credit, and platform terms are invite-only
Trade Assurance is pay-in first. OA is goods first. Payment Terms are invite-only on the buyer side. A private promise is not mediated as unpaid goods.
The buyer wants a pre-shipment inspection: Trade Assurance does not inspect this container
Trade Assurance follows the order. The Verified audit looks at the factory. Who books SGS for this lot, whose name is on the report, and who pays a fail, go on the order.
The German buyer wants REACH / SVHC: a CE file will not do
REACH asks what is in the article. CE, the Responsible Person and RoHS are other files. A Hong Kong company cannot take a SCIP number.
Goods through a Hong Kong warehouse: a TID licence is not a certificate of origin
Import, export and transhipment through Hong Kong may need a TID licence. A CO, a Verified audit and a mainland dual-use permit do not replace it.
The membership year is ending. Renew, or stop?
Renew from the Hong Kong-dollar order paid to Alibaba Hong Kong. Export inquiries and orders before you stop. A forwarded RMB price and “your years reset” are not the contract.
Which products go in the 20 showcases
Twenty or sixty slots. Use the ones you can price this week, with a lead time the floor accepts and your own photo. Six ready products beat a full catalogue you cannot answer.
No search exposure this week: which keyword, main image, and score cells to change
If this SKU barely appears in search, change three cells: keywords facing the buyer’s string, one identifying first image, and the red information-score or star cell. Not impressions-without-clicks, not which of twenty showcases to fill. No invented ranking multiples.
You replied; the buyer went silent: which inquiry fields to open before you rewrite
You already answered and they did not write back. Open identity, source, original lines, and the letter you sent; change only the missing sentences. Not inquiries-without-orders, not the zero-inquiry funnel. No invented reply rate.
Trade Assurance order just opened: which evidence to staple, who clicks which page
The day the order opens, staple the order page, on-site original lines, specification attachment, and payment record. Answer a dispute in Complaint Center, not from WeChat memory. Not how to win a chargeback, not the shipping-proof page. No invented payout ratio.
Sample shipped, buyer silent: which logistics and on-site cells to open before you chase
The sample already left and they do not write back. Face the waybill, signed-for cell, on-site thread, and frozen specification before you chase one sentence. Not how to write a sample policy, not a silent inquiry letter. No invented signed-for official day.
RFQ first screen: which fields, attachment, and lead time stop an instant reject
Open this RFQ and copy the original cells first, then write quantity, lead time, price, and one attachment that faces this ticket. Not multilingual conversion, not a freight annex. No invented quote conversion rate.
Search volume dropped this week: which keyword, showcase, and score cells to open first
This SKU used to appear and impressions dropped this week. Face the date filter, who edited the title, category review, showcase slot, main-image version, and ad group. Not almost never found. No invented ranking multiples.
Buyer audit next week: which papers to prepare, which line to walk
The buyer arrives next week. Lock whether the visit is the buyer, a third party, or the Gold slot, then face the frozen-spec papers, the license address, and the line. Not a Gold slogan. No invented pass day.
P4P first week: which words to buy, how the budget stops
Week one opens the ads account, not the membership order. Bind one SKU, copy the buyer’s original string, and stop a wrong word or the group. Not P4P≠membership. No invented CPC.
Buyer only haggles, never specs: how to reply without locking margin
They only write cheapest / best price and spec cells are empty. Face the empty sentences, write one shippable grade, then a number that carries it. Not script soup. No invented margin rate.
The buyer wants a deposit before the Trade Assurance order
A mould deposit is not the Trade Assurance order, so the order dispute file does not cover that transfer. There is no set percentage. No personal accounts. Write what the money buys, and leave one line on the site.
The web says RMB 35,800. Why the Hong Kong channel bills HKD 39,000
Hong Kong-channel Gold Supplier is HKD 39,000 and Verified is HKD 108,000, wired to Alibaba Hong Kong. A forwarded RMB 35,800 quote cannot pay that bill. Membership, ads and Accio are three invoices.
When an EU buyer asks for a CBAM pack: what the factory sends, who files
The EU importer files and buys certificates. The factory sends installation emissions data. Defaults raise the buyer’s cost. Do not write “clearance included” or lock euros per tonne into the quote.
The EU buyer wants you as Responsible Person and a Hong Kong address on the box
A consumer product on the Union market needs an economic operator established in the EU. A Hong Kong company and a mainland plant are not that person. Printing a Hong Kong address or renting a mailbox does not create the role.
The EU buyer wants a VAT number and an EORI: a Hong Kong company does not have them ready
On Hong Kong-channel bulk, import VAT usually sits with the EU buyer. Opening the store does not issue VAT or EORI. The platform IOSS is only for consignments the platform has already taxed.
The US buyer wants you to pay the duty and be IOR: the forwarder cannot take that liability
“Duty-paid to warehouse” mixes delivery, who pays the tax, and who stands as importer. The IOR owes CBP classification and entered value. A forwarder or broker files; they do not take that liability.
The US buyer says a Hong Kong dispatch means no Section 301: additional duty follows origin, not the invoice
CBP states 301 follows origin, not export. A Hong Kong letterhead does not lift China-origin additional duty. Genuine Hong Kong origin is still not a zero-surcharge quote.
The US buyer wants a UFLPA statement: a Hong Kong invoice does not lift a hold
The law first assumes the goods cannot enter. Release is the importer’s supply-chain file. A Hong Kong invoice and a one-page letter do not rebut that presumption.
The US buyer says the sample is duty-free under $800: does a Hong Kong company parcel still clear that way
CBP has suspended the $800 de minimis exemption for express and post. Gift / $1 invoices and split parcels do not bring it back. Informal entry is not a tax holiday.
Mainland-made goods, Hong Kong invoice: origin does not become Hong Kong
A Hong Kong seller does not move origin. Simple packing and labelling do not support a Hong Kong origin certificate. A re-export CO still names China as origin.
Move the shop floor first
Before opening an Alibaba.com store, run the line, audit path, and shippable evidence: a ninety-day shop-floor timeline, four proof packs, and three items a late storefront cannot backfill.
The 2 a.m. inquiry from Stuttgart
When a Central-European buyer sends a drawing inquiry at 2 a.m. Germany time: who may quote, whether an auto-ack counts as first response, and how the day shift takes the baton.
The hour an auditor opens the books
What an auditor pulls in the first hour: membership, P4P, Trade Assurance proceeds, and document titles. Stop-loss when files are missing—never one ledger line called “Alibaba all-in”.
Cargo held at destination
The first seven days after a destination hold: triage by documents, exam, charges, or restricted goods; then the calendar, buyer wording, and cost split so the next box does not repeat it.
