Bottom line:
- This week split what this skin is: which hide lot, which finished-leather drum, or already cut into a jacket or bag. Jiaxing municipal copy writes Haining as China’s “leather capital,” with Haining Leather City as the headquarters origin — see the leather-industry cross-province service note. Titles and the market network sit in the background. Do not invent output or stall counts.
- A stall can show a sample. Tanning and sewing follow the licence. The city writes a leather-and-fashion industry development centre as a service body — see the leather and fashion industry development centre page. Matchmaking sessions and design bases are not this drum’s ton number.
- Keqiao locks metre samples and vat difference — do not copy that onto this skin. Ningbo Port only decides the sailing. The lot box takes a hide ton or a finished-leather drum, not a quay.
An Italian buyer posts a corner cut and a ton-number photo back to Haining: “Need the hide lot and the finished-leather drum that face THIS cut. We are buying crust-to-finish leather by the foot, not a jacket from the mall. Audit the tannery, not a Leather City stall. HK invoice OK.” Sales returns a Leather City aisle, a finished garment and a Hong Kong PI: “Haining source, colour can match, the city can supply.” The buyer asks which hide ton, which finished-leather drum, and whether this booking is by the foot or by the piece. Sales copies the stall number into the inspection address.
The stall says last season’s colour card can be retitled for this booking. The tannery says this week’s hide ton has already changed; thickness and grain must be signed again. Finance wants a “leather-capital certification fee” in the unit price as officially required. Membership wired to ALIBABA.COM HONG KONG LIMITED will not buy a ton number and will not buy a drum number.
Do not answer with “Haining leather can all be colour-matched.” Lock first: hide lot, finished leather or goods; who signs thickness and shade in writing; whether inspection walks a warehouse, a drum, or a sewing plant. How Keqiao locks which metre and who signs vat difference is on the Shaoxing paper — cloth, not hide. Do not paste lab-dip and first-vat talk onto a hide ton. Origin is on China goods are not Hong Kong origin. Below follows which lot this skin is.
Split this skin first: hide lot, finished leather, or already cut into goods
Hong Kong-channel sellers quoting Haining bovine, sheep, jackets or bags most often get asked how far this skin has travelled. Still on the hide ton, already retanned and finished, already cut into a piece — three steps, not one confirmation. Ask the plant which step this booking sells.
Reply in full sentences: “Contract seller is the Hong Kong company; this booking sells raw hide, finished leather by the foot, or goods by the piece; hide ton or finished-leather drum; the licence that tanned or sewed. Do not write ‘Haining leather capital, city in one body.’”
Municipal news has written a local plant’s chain “from hide to finished leather to automotive interior cutting” — see the hide-to-finished-leather note. That is one firm’s process language, not a purchasable “official Haining full-chain certificate.” Do not write the process name into the PI as already certified.
The mail to the tannery should not only say “need Haining source.” Write: “Please reply in writing: this booking’s hide ton or lot; finished-leather drum; whether this booking is by the foot or already cut. A stall garment photo is not enough.”
The leather fashion town sits around Haining China Leather City — see the leather fashion town page. Town and scenic area are viewing, buying and visitor arrangements. A viewing point is not this tannery domicile.
Do not put jackets, bags and by-the-foot finished leather on one confirmation without a split page. You can view them in the same city. You cannot merge the inspection unit into one booking. If you cannot explain the piece, keep it off this PI.
A Hong Kong company as contract seller does not make that company the ton holder. Titles are on document titles. Split the seller box from the lot box.
Hong Kong-channel quotes in Haining are usually finished leather by the foot or jackets by the piece, sometimes bags. If the inquiry only says “Haining leather,” ask which step first. Pricing before that question means inspection day will argue feet versus pieces.
Hide ton and finished-leather drum: who signs thickness and shade in writing
What stalls a Haining carton is rarely “no leather in the city.” It is a ton and a drum that will not face the colour card. Do not invent test fees or fines.
Ask for three papers side by side: hide ton or lot, finished-leather drum, and written thickness and shade for this booking. If the three lines disagree, do not lock a unit price. Sales writing “we always match colour” does not help; the buyer reads these three lines.
Thickness, grain and location (full grain, belly) enter the confirmation. “Full-grain yellow bovine” will not fill this skin. The inspector will measure thickness and look at grain — and stop if they do not face.
Who signs shade: tannery process, the buyer’s representative, or a trading-house salesperson — write the name and the role. A salesperson’s “close enough” is not a signature. Do not copy Keqiao’s “who signs first-vat versus bulk” — that lock is a metre; this lock is a hide.
Lamp and buyer colour card go on the same page. Card number, light source, and whether this drum’s shade range is allowed — all three lines. Without a light source, do not open finishing.
Do not call wet-blue, crust and finished leather “one skin.” Use the name of the step you are on. Mixed names make shortage and shade arguments about whose job it was.
Finance should not write a “leather-capital certification fee” into the unit price. The industry-centre page writes matchmaking, design and expo service — not a fee to accept a ton. Retan, finish and testing go as contract line items, labelled as process or inspection quotes, not an official hide-accept price. There is no site-wide Haining leather official fee.
A Leather City stall can show a sample — which licence does the tanning or sewing
When the buyer writes “audit in Haining,” split whether they want a Leather City stall, a design base, or the tannery warehouse or sewing plant. A stall can take a photo. It cannot show this ton. “Haining can be audited” is no reply.
Write the inspection address to the production domicile on the licence. If this booking looks at finished leather, walk the tannery; if it looks at jacket sewing, walk the sewing plant. Do not write a Leather City stall number, a fashion-week hall number, or a Hong Kong secretary floor.
Leather City party-committee copy has written leather expos, fashion week and trend releases — see the Leather City inspection-rectification update. That is trade and events. A booth number is not a drum number.
Do not write “one day for Leather City, the design base and three outside plants.” Walk the one name that does this work. Do not expect to see retan on fashion-week opening day.
Bring three physical items that day: hide ton or lot paper, a small finished-leather cutting from this drum, and written thickness. If the inspector asks about grain, you can face this drum on the spot. If you cannot, stop on that item; do not drive to a stall for a garment photo.
If the interpreter is market reception, they can lead the way. They cannot sign as tannery. Reception goes on the itinerary, not in the lot box.
The tannery mail for inspection: “Please reply in writing: hide warehouse or finished leather that day; ton number; drum number; whether this booking’s thickness can be measured. Do not write a stall number into the reply.”
Write the lot box on the confirmation in four lines: hide ton or lot; finished-leather drum; thickness range; who signs shade. If a line is missing, name which line. A stall colour-card number will not fill these four.
If tanning sits in another Haining town and sewing in a third plant, write both domiciles. Do not rewrite both as “Leather City” because it is easier to remember. The buyer asks for the door plate, not the market brand.
A new lot: do not retitle last drum’s colour card as this drum
A new hide ton often means a new finished-leather drum. The old card belongs to the last drum. Writing “only the hide lot changed” as no need to re-sign will fail when inspection faces the ton number first.
A finishing-formula tweak or a new chemical supplier is a possible new drum first. Name in writing whether this booking is still the same drum number. If it is not, write that this drum has no facing colour card yet.
If the sample was snipped from a Leather City stall or a design-base viewing cage, and bulk comes off a tannery line, the two lots must be explainable. A viewing-cage address is not a bulk drum. Write where the cutting was snipped and which drum bulk faces.
Do not share one retitled colour card across automotive interior cuttings and apparel leather. Use, thickness, flame or fogging needs may differ. One class, one list. If a class is missing, write that this class is not ready.
If the test report’s applicant is a trading house, the sample came from the tannery, and the invoice seller is the Hong Kong company, the three names must be explainable. Lots that do not face each other are no report. Opening a store does not run a test.
An RFQ that says “Haining leather, any hide, HK seller” is split first by what ton and drum you can lock. Quote the drum you can lock. Cut what you cannot explain, then price.
Selling finished leather by the foot, or jackets and bags by the piece — do not mix the inspection unit
By-the-foot delivers area, thickness and drum number. By-the-piece delivers piece count, size or style number. Both units on one confirmation without a split page make shortage arguments about missing feet versus missing pieces.
If a jacket’s leather comes from the tannery and sewing sits in another plant, name both. Manufacturer follows the step that conferred origin. Walk the step the buyer asked to see.
Bag hardware, lining and stitch thread are not “all one Haining skin.” Name the outside plant. You can share a container. You cannot merge the confirmation into one skin.
Write acceptance in full sentences: “By the foot: square feet, thickness range, who signs allowed shade. By the piece: piece count, style number, how a short piece is rejected.” Without writing, the inspector counts the class you actually sell.
If this booking is goods, care label, hangtag and leather drum must face this style. A drum on the hangtag and another drum in the garment will fail at opening. Face these three before the carton is sealed; do not seal first and add hangtags later.
Before this booking leaves, sales faces five papers: hide, finished leather or goods; ton or drum; written thickness and shade; tannery or sewing licence; inspection unit. If one is missing, write which one. Do not announce a release date first.
Ningbo Port goes on the bill of lading, not in the hide-lot box
A Hong Kong company can invoice, Haining can tan or sew, Ningbo can sail — all three at once. Load port is not origin and is not a ton number. How Ningbo quotes county goods and cut-off is on the Ningbo paper — sailing, not this skin.
FOB Ningbo, CIF Genoa, EXW Haining warehouse — three terms, three delivery points. Do not write “we deliver in Haining” as “we deliver at the port” without naming the warehouse. Export papers are on the export documents checklist.
If the buyer wants a warehouse address, return the actual despatch warehouse — not a Leather City unloading aisle. Name which warehouse the packing video was shot in. The video should show this ton or drum; goods should show the style number.
If the outer carton prints the Hong Kong English name, do not print Made in Hong Kong. Do not print a stall number as the tannery address.
Finance should not write a “fashion-week stall fee” or an “expo certification fee” into the unit price as officially required. There is no site-wide official price. The membership receipt does not go into the lot pack.
Corpable can sit with you on hide ton, finished-leather drum and whether this booking sells leather or goods. We do not accept lots, we do not sign shade, and we do not guarantee an audit or entry. Membership still goes to ALIBABA.COM HONG KONG LIMITED.
Questions teams actually ask
Can a Leather City stall number stand in as the tannery or the goods sewing plant?
Not by default. A stall can show a sample and let you feel the grain. Tanning sits on another licence; sewing may sit on a third. When the buyer asks for an inspection address, write the work this booking actually does: hide warehouse, finished leather, or sewing plant. Do not swap a market plate for a plant.
Last drum’s colour card — this booking changed hide lot. Can we retitle it?
Not by default. A new hide ton or lot often moves the finished-leather drum with it. Thickness, grain and shade must be signed for this drum. Retitling an old card is standing in with another skin.
Can Keqiao metre-sample and vat-difference talk be pasted onto this Haining skin?
No. Keqiao locks which metre and who signs vat difference. Haining first splits hide lot, finished leather or goods. Do not swap door plates or decisions. How Keqiao locks a metre is on the Shaoxing paper.
This booking sells finished leather by the foot; the buyer counts jackets by the piece. How do we inspect?
Lock the inspection unit first. By-the-foot is finished leather; by-the-piece is goods. Do not put both units on one confirmation without a split page. Without writing, the inspector counts the class you actually sell — and stops if it will not count clean.
Ningbo Port is easier to book. Can origin be written as the port?
No. Ningbo Port appears as load port on the bill of lading. Origin follows the tannery or sewing city. The hide-lot box does not take a quay. The invoice seller can be the Hong Kong company.
Can Corpable accept a hide lot, sign shade, or guarantee entry?
We do not accept lots, we do not sign shade, and we do not guarantee an audit or entry. An advisor can sit with you on hide ton, finished-leather drum and whether this booking sells leather or goods. Membership still goes to ALIBABA.COM HONG KONG LIMITED.
